The couple’s longtime friends mentioned to us how Tony had always looked at Karyne as his “dream girl.” Well, he definitely gave his dream girl a proposal to swoon over! Tony is a pilot and took Karyne away on a romantic sunset flight over some beaches in their Florida town. When it was time to land the plane, he landed it on a runway that had 200 candles set up that said, “marry me.” Of course she said, “Yes!”

“The best day ever” (direct quote from the happy couple J) was held at The Gables at Chadds Ford. It was a beautiful summer day! The sun was shinning bright, but it wasn’t the typical egg-frying June weather. As Karyne and her girls popped some champagne to celebrate the day we, were excited to photograph all of her Pinterest worthy wedding details. From her deep purple and green color palette to all the handmade decorations Karyne and her mother created, we loved it all! After Karyne gave us full rein of her wedding details, it was time for her to put on her gorgeous Ball Gown wedding dress, which was perfectly pair with some glittery Kate Spade sneakers. Seriously a girl after our own hearts!

Karyne and Tony’s first look gave us yet another reason why we love first looks. There were a couple of happy tears, matched with big smiles, followed by a lot of sweet giggling. Tony was so enamored by Karyne in her wedding dress and made sure she spun around so he could see her complete look. After taking some bridal party shots at the antique shop next door, it was time for them to say, “I do.” The ceremony was held in the pretty Gables courtyard under an outdoor pergola rapped with green vines. Surrounded by the people closest to them, Tony and Karyne became more than just former classmates and high school sweethearts—they became husband and wife. Meghann and Stephen moved about two years ago from the Houston area to Philadelphia and have fully embraced their new city. Their mutual love of Philadelphia’s rich history and charming architecture made this city the perfect place for their wedding. We started the day off with Meghann and her bridesmaids at The Salon at Duross & Langel. We couldn’t help but get distracted by all the vibrant colors and amazing smells of Duross & Langel’s handmade beauty products. After hair and makeup, we traveled to the Franklin Hotel so the ladies could finish getting ready. Before heading off to the ceremony, Meghann and Stephen exchanged sweet notes to each other. We loved how they both took a deep breath, smiled, and couldn’t help but crack a witty joke while opening their notes.

These "Texadelphians," (learned that from Meghann ðŸ˜Š ) said their vows in front of their immediate family and close friends at Old St. Mary’s Church, which was built in 1763. The history of this church and the historical figures that have been there is just amazing. After the beautiful ceremony, we walked to the Powel House for Meghann and Stephen’s wedding reception. You can’t help but feel classy when stepping into the elegant Powel House. We were in awe over the fine art and the incredible museum-quality furniture throughout the house. Right past the entry way is a large staircase that leads you up to the dining room. The table settings designed by Garces Events were breathtaking. The Royal Blue tablecloths combined with the gold chargers and chairs were a perfect match to the antique décor. Petals Lane designed circular arrangements of fresh floral bouquets at the center of every table, which elegantly  tied everything together.

We have had some interesting weather this 2017 wedding season, and Stephen and Meghann’s wedding day was no exception. Although it rained during the day, we wondered if they actually even noticed. They never let the weather affect them, even when Meghann was walking through puddles in her gorgeous Manolo Blahniks. They were clearly just focused on the big picture and what really matters: being with each other and having a great day together with family and friends.  From our first conversation last fall, to their engagement session, and then ending with their wedding day, Meghann and Stephen have always been gracious, down-to-earth, and a true depiction of southern charm.

It has everything we love in a wedding venue including an interesting history, charming buildings, and beautiful grounds that make you feel like you’re in an enchanted forest. Their wedding setting became even more ideal with some additional touches like the lovely floral arrangements, created by Maura Rose Events, and the incredible farm tables by Barnes Handcrafted Farmhouse Tables, LLC.

Laura got ready in a pretty light filled bridal suite with her bridesmaids, and a few close family members. We won’t forget her Grandmother’s beaming smile as Laura was putting her dress on. It was the kind of smile that would make anyone instantly happy. Even though there was a slight rain shower while Laura was getting ready, it stopped just in time for their first look. This wedding season we’re becoming quite familiar with rainstorms that stop just when we need them to. Laura and Alex had their first look on a sweet bridge surrounded by beautiful tall trees, a.k.a “the enchanted forest.” Just imagine the heart eyed emoji and that is exactly what Laura and Alex looked like when they first saw each other. We don’t expect this look of love will ever leave their faces.

Since there was no sign of rain for the rest of the day, Laura and Alex were able to have their intimate ceremony outside on the front porch of the Duportail House. The rest of the day was filled with fun, laughter, great food and oh so much dancing! We were thoroughly impressed on how packed the dance floor was the entire night, and how the groom’s parents never left it. Congratulations Laura and Alex! Thank you for including us on your special day!

We can’t help but be a little nervous when meeting a couple for the first time. Well those nerves disappeared after about 15 seconds when we saw their friendly faces, and when Joe said “Which one of you owns a Boston Terrier?!” Best ice breaker ever!

We learned more about Joe and Alison while walking around and taking in the beautiful greenery of Valley Forge. While Alison was telling us the story of how they met we could hear music in the background from a nearby wedding. The entire scene was quite romantic, and we almost felt bad for tagging along. Alison spoke of how much she loved Joe’s smile and was instantly drawn to it. We knew exactly the smile Alison was talking about. Every single time Joe would look at Alison his face would light up. We can’t wait to see the level of Joe’s excitement on their wedding day this July. Oh, and to have the opportunity to gush about Boston Terriers again!

We started the day off with the Florida sun beaming in through large bay windows, as Alicia and her bridesmaids excitedly got ready. Sheree was not only Alicia’s maid of honor, but she was also her hair and makeup stylist. Sheree is definitely in the running for “most attentive” MOH ever! We chose a lush green space right next to the bay for their first look. Andy couldn’t help but be a little speechless once seeing Alicia in her stunning wedding dress. Andy wasn’t the only one enamored by Alicia's beauty. A little boy from the club came up to Alicia and sweetly asked “if he could say hello to the princess.”

Alicia and Andy held a breathtaking ceremony on the yacht club’s private beach. They spoke their vows to each other with the sounds of waves crashing behind them. After the ceremony, we grabbed a few quick portraits on the beach with the bridal party so Andy and Alicia could enjoy the rest of their wedding.

There are so many qualities to love about Andy and Alicia. They are outgoing, charming, and lighthearted the kind of people you always want to hang out with! But, what stands out most about this dynamic couple, is the mutual love and care they have for their families. It was truly heartwarming and impressive to see everything that they had planned during their busy wedding weekend, yet still give so much attention and love to the people most important to them.

Congratulations Andy and Alicia! It was truly an honor to be apart of your special day, and we'll never forget it!

We started their wedding day a little differently than most couples. We arrived over an hour early, grabbed some coffee, and with cameras down, we walked around their neighborhood, eyes wide opened. Although we had been to Fishtown a couple times, we never “saw” it the way Leslie and Carlos did. We knew that this neighborhood was a big part of not only their everyday lives together, but also their wedding. We saw Fishtown as important of a wedding detail to them as their wedding rings.

After getting ready at the incredibly awesome Wm. Mulherin's Sons hotel, Lesley and Carlos had their first look in front of one of their favorite murals with the sound of the El going by in the background. It was quintessential Fishtown.

We then continued onto Front & Palmer for their ceremony and reception. From the sweet stories the officiate told about the couple, to the ideal romantic lighting, "dreamy” is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about Lesley and Carlos’s ceremony. The entire day Lesley and Carlos had such a calm and coolness about them. They never once seemed nervous, just ready to celebrate, surrounded by their favorite people in the place they love so much.

The lovely blush wedding color palette had us yearning for spring, and helped us forget about the chilly 30-degree temperature outside. Initially Kevin and Nakeisha weren’t planning on doing a “first look,” but we were thrilled when they choose to do so. With the sun beaming in through the beautiful antique windows, Kevin saw Nakeisha in her wedding dress for the first time. One of the sweetest moments of the day quickly turned into one of the most hilarious thanks to Kevin serenading Nakeisha the “50 shades of Gray” theme song. Throughout the day even when they weren’t being photographed we loved seeing the endless ways Kevin could make Nakeisha smile. Congratulations to Kevin, Nakeisha, and their wonderful families!
